[Need Support] Frequent Filament Jams

I've been dealing with frequent filament jams several times a day. I can get a jam unloading filament, where the blob can usually be removed via the extuder door with some wire cutters. Clearing jams going the other way are more involved and always happen during a print. I can have several successful prints when the filament starts skipping and that lets me know the tube is probably clogged with a blob. The fans have to be removed with the cover and the hotbreak. The tube can be removed easy enough to push out whatever blob is stuck. The process takes about 5 minutes to clean and reassemble but it's a major PITA.

I'm printing with pronterface with PLA. I did notice that printing with USB connected the temp is set to 210C. The preheat menu for PLA uses 215F. Is there a pronterface update that includes the option for MK3 with the higher temp?

I also noticed that I can print in pronterface without loading any filament. Shouldn't the sensor detect there's no filament? Maybe I have a bad sensor? Or is gcode just instructions that execute?

Should filament jams be happening so frequently?

I'm betting your clog is further down. Do a few cold pulls and failing that you may want to remove the block and heatbreak.

When the tube is clogged, there's no way to get filament in to do a cold pull. But I've done lots of those... Is the heat brick removable? If it was I could check for nicks or scratches to see if something is catching on it???

I have been using Slic3r to generate gcode for the MK3. It doesn't have the MK3 profiles installed though. So I might have been using the wrong slicer.

I switched to PrusaControl which has MK3 in the settings and I think the prints are printing faster.
