MMU2S kit parts missing

Hello,

I have bougth an MMU2S kit for my prusa MK3S.

While assembly, I found, that a few parts are missing in the bag "Pulley Body".

There were only 2 tubes of this special PTFE-4x2x19 parts. But 5 pieces are needed. As I understand, this tubes have special outline inside to prevent stall of filament.

How I am able to get spare parts for finishing my MMU?

RE: MMU2S kit parts missing

to get you going quickly you could make your own, using a short piece of the PTFE between the buffer and the MMU2

https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/How+to+trim+PTFE+tube+-+Original+Prusa+i3+printers/500#s18623

if you take 19mm off each of the 5 feed tubes you can make a set of replacements

regards Joan

@joantabb

thanks for quick reply!

but cutting own tubes would not have same result.

In the documentation it's mentioned the "chamfered end" of this tubes, which avoids, that filament could get stucked.

In the meantime I am able to work with 2 tubes delivered! (for production filament and soluble support)

I cannot print with several colors right now, but it is not urgent

Hello,

I would want to ask again, how to get this "chamfered end" PTFE tubes, because they where missing in the MMU2S kit?

I want to avoid to send back the complete kit!

RE: MMU2S kit parts missing

good evening Richard,

I must apologise most profusely,

I had hoped that the link showing you how to cut and shape the ends of the tubes and the tube dimensions would be helpful.

If I were in this situation, my choices would be:-

1, use the materials at hand. near instant resolution, already rejected by you, (P.s. there are cutting jigs on Thingiverse)

2, contact prusa on the chat option, and ask them to resolve the shortfall,   you will probably have to wait longer than it would take to complete option 1, to speak to the agent, and resolution / delivery will probably take a  couple of days...

3, email prusa, and wait longer

once again, I am sorry to have been unhelpful!

Joan
