MK3S Y axis GT2-16 Pulley misalignment

I recently purchased and assembled my own MK3S. After completing the seemingly never ending assembly instructions, I went through the setup wizard. Almost immediately, I had horrible issues with my Y-axis. I checked my linear bearings for smooth movement, adjusted my Y-rod-holders a half dozen times, and loosened and tightened the belts almost to far. My last thought was to recheck the alignment of the GT2-16 Pulley on the Y-axis motor. after looking at it, I realized the belt was pressed up to the side of the pulley closest to the motor. I thought that had to be my issue. I looked in the assembly manual again to make sure I had assembled the pulley as directed, but it was positioned as the manual showed. I could not adjust the pulley close enough to the motor to achieve the necessary alignment, so, AGAINST the instructions, I flipped the pulley around. I had more than enough room for adjustment and the pulley was fully on the shaft of the motor. Am I the only one who experienced this, or do i have something else assembled incorrectly? My printer is printing away happily, and seems to have no adverse effects from the inverted pulley. The assembly manual i have is stamped 2019, so the orientation may be different from earlier models.

You are not alone. Depending on which pulley or motor I have on the y-axis, I sometimes need to reverse the pulley orientation to achieve good belt centering.
