MK3S - where can I find a ptfe "collar"?
OK, I am still very new at this. In fact I am posting this in "assembly and first prints" because I have not yet been successful with a print (beyond the single layer Z calibration sheet - and a couple of XYZ calibration cubes)
However, boosted by these successes I tried to print something I thought would be useful and easy - a case. Things didn't go well... and I realised that the filament just wasn't moving. I tried a cold pull, and ended up snapping the filament just microns above the ptfe tube. I tried a 1.25mm rod but no luck even when at 250+ degrees.
Knowing I had a spare, I thought no worries, I can dismantle the extruder and replace the tube. This went reasonably easily.
UNTIL, I tried to take the old PTFE tube out of the hotend. At this point the BLACK LOCKING COLLAR broke (five pieces - ooops)
Where on earth can I get a new one? are they even called "locking collars" ?? thanks
