MK3S Self-Printed Parts

Following my typical MO, I didn't read the "print parts myself" instructions thoroughly and printed at .15mm instead of .20mm. Is it going to make a difference?

I doubt it. I've printed all of my Mk 3's extruder parts at .15 including this upgrade. Not seen any problem yet and they are far more accurate.

Same. I expect the hotend fan will perform with less turbulence as a result of the slightly smoother internal shape to boot.

Re: MK3S Self-Printed Parts

I currently have a 0.25mm nozzle fitted to my MK3. As such I am debating whether to print the parts with that at 0.1mm layer height and 4 perimeters. It will take 3 to 4 times as long as to print as the 0.4 nozzle with 0.2mm layer height and 2 perimeters but the finish may well be worth it.

Martin

You'd probably get just as good results using a 0.4 and variable layer height to smooth out the curves on the parts that involve airflow, in less time.
