MK3S+ Parts

Hello everyone!

New to the 3d printing world and am excited to pick up a new skill!

I got my MK3S+ kit on Friday and started putting it together.  Ran into a problem and damaged the "Extruder body" and "Extruder motor plate".

I went to the Prusa E-shop and found the parts, but they didn't look the same.  Hopped on chat and he said there are no MK3S+ parts in the system yet so I can't buy them and he can't order me replacement parts.

So I'm looking for options.

Does anyone know when these parts will show up in the e-shop?
I wish I could print my own, but my printer is only 50% assembled.

Thanks all.

Zac

By the announcement, the parts will be available in late December or January.

I hope Prusa support can help.  Otherwise it's a paperweight until then.

I don't think the files are released yet or I could try and find someone else to print them for me.

Hello and welcome to the Prusaforum!

I would ask someone in the neighbourhood to print the parts for you. On the Prusa world (map of 3d-printer owners) page you might find someone: https://www.prusaprinters.org/world

Important is the factory or revision number of the parts, which is normally shown on it, e.g. D(number) or R(number). The parts can be found here for download: https://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/

good luck!

Can they send you the files?

@karl-herbert

Thanks for the reply.  I looked at the map and there are people in my city with a Prusa printer!  So great!

Unfortunately, the files for the MK3S+ are not listed.  I looked at the MK3S files, and they do not have the same revision number.

Both of the parts I need say D1.

It's looking more and more like I'll be waiting for a while to use my printer.

Thanks again for your reply.  Good info!

I'll ask.  If so, I hope I can find someone to print them for me.

What color is your printer?  I get home from vacation tomorrow night.  I will check to make sure I have some filament of that color.

The "Extruder body" and "Extruder motor plate" are black PETG.

Yes.  I understand that the original parts from the kit are in PETG.  Still waiting for a response from Prusa.  Thanks again!

I spent 30 minutes chatting with prusa trying and pushing to get the files for you, but no luck. He finely checked into it and said...

"The user is being assisted by one of our techs who is going to send him replacement parts he damaged during the building process"

I hope that's true.

Wow thanks.  I appreciate the try.  I hope it's true too because earlier in this thread I was told that parts wouldn't be available until the end of the month or early next.  I've been excited to get into 3d printing and it's sad just seeing my new printer sitting there on my bench.

Thanks again for the try!
