MK3 -> MK3s upgrade finished, squeaking sound
Hello forum,
I finished the upgrade MK3 -> MK3s some time ago and now I have a strange noise while printing. It is like a squeaking sound, hard to describe. It has sth to do with the extruder motor, as it intensives (sometimes) on retract. Sounds like the filament is rubbing on plastic parts of the extruder.
The sound is _very_ intense when printing certain types of PETG and almost not audible when printing Prusa PLA. I tried adjusting the pressure screw, with no change at all. The sound must be generated somewhere deep inside the extruder.
Any advice?

Check the idler on the door. Historically when I had this happen it was because the rod had come out of one of the ears and was making the gear sit at an angle and rub the plastic. Beyond that it may be normal, PETG rubbing on PETG can squeak like that.

Also take a peek and see if the PTFE tube has risen up enough to contact the filament gear. The collet can slip.

Also check to make sure extruder gears, PTFE tube and entrance hole on top of the extruder assembly for the filament are all aligned in a straight path (line).

I checked all the parts, greased the gears, checked for free spinning gear etc, removed the top lid and followed the filament path.
It all seems aligned to me. I am puzzled....
