Collision detection is faulty.

Grease the axis and disable collision detection. It might lead to a few failed prints, but most of the cases it prints well.

Hello folks!

My MK3S also loses its home after stopping a print.

Is there a resolution to this?

I was planning on getting a second printer but this is now on hold until I can resolve this issue.

This is with the Prusa examples.

Please advise on steps to resolve this and I will report back.

Please describe YOUR issue.  Is your printer losing home after you stop a print?  After it fails? Are you using the menu to stop it, or the reset button?  Is it failing after a power loss?  Can you consistently reproduce this problem or is it happening occasionally?  Can you provide a video of the failure and what happens after.....or starting a new print with the incorrect or missing home?

Are you seeing collision detection errors on the X or Y axis?  Have you tried disabling the collision detection?  Was it a Kit or assembled by Prusa.  How old is it?

If you wait on your printer order, that means my next one will get here faster....thanks!!

-Try to reset your printer, search on the forum for how to do this, then your printer is like a new one, and you have to do xyz calibration, like in the beginning.

Reset helps so you are 100% certain that no bad info stays in the printer.(from your older xyz calibration).

    I just want to add my name to the list.  I canceled a print while the bed was still heating because I thought I selected the wrong stl file (on SD card).  After I re-started the print from the SD, mesh bed leveling started in the back of Y and dragged along the bed.  This is not the first time, but previously I blamed it on my Octoprint (Pi Zero W), then a loose x belt, then a loose y belt.  Even after fixing those, the problem persists unless a full self-test or XYZ calibration is done.  I do not understand why a "stop print" command would have this effect, but it is apparent that it re-homes to the nearest sensor wherever it is stopped by the user.  I'm not sure if there is a fix action, but I am glad I found this post to validate that I am not the only one experiencing it.

Same exact issue. Brand new printer. Two successful prints but I selected the wrong one from SD card and cancelled with the 'X' and it won't rehome.
