Missing Layers and Very Poor Quality Issues

I have the MK3 using default settings on Slic3r PE with supports enabled. All other settings are unchanged. This specific print was printed with 0.05mm layers. What could be causing these missing layers and overall bad quality?

are we to assume that your print quality at .2 on benchys/marvins/etc is 100% satisfactory? I'd use a different print when troubleshooting, .05 is tricky on the best of days, and supports are going to make everything look terrible.

that said, I would start with tuning retraction and aligning seams.

Look up the extruder idler gear shaft issue. It seems to be going around.

ps: yes, it affects 0.05 more than 0.15 builds - look at the posts on bad 0.05 treefrog threads, too.
