Minor wobble in frame set up
First time builder and I after initially setting up my frame the manual says to place it on a flat surface and check for a wobble. Mine seems to have it and I cant get rid of it. I have done as the manual says and loosened the screws then retightened them but it did not work. I have also removed both supports, swapped them, and rotated them but the wobble persists. I do not believe this to be a major issue and will probably just place a small piece of cardboard under it to keep it wobble free but I wanted to solicit advice. I may be a bit of a perfectionist but I want to make sure the frame is balanced and I am worried the screws will become stripped if I continue tightening and loosening. Thank you.
Re: Minor wobble in frame set up
you definitely want the frame square before proceeding. might be worth checking the individual ends of each leg and braces for squareness first, in theory it should be hard to get it skewed unless you're torquing them realllly unevenly.
Re: Minor wobble in frame set up
Thank you, I worked on my torquing the screws evenly and noticed I can get the wobble to disappear after doing that as long as the plate is off. I am no expert but perhaps the plate has a minor deficiency so I flipped the plate on its face and now the wobble is 99% gone. Like rolling an ankle I feel that corner still has a bit in it but its noticeably better.
