Lubricated the Z-axis leadscrew
Hello,
I got my Prusa about two weeks ago. Its been printing a lot since then with not one failed print and perfect quality on every print! I just used the standard setup in prusaslicer and it works for every filament brand I have.
Now I read about the maintenance. I read one should not apply lubricant to the Z axis leadscrews. Dumbly I already put a little bit of lubricant on there. Will something terrible happen now? Or can I just leave it? Why should one not lubricate that?
Thanks
Kind regards

RE: Lubricated the Z-axis leadscrew
Hi Tech,
the plastic nuts on the Z axis is Delrin, a self lubricating plastic... it is supposed not to need lubrication.
I doubt if you have done any significant damage. just wipe off the bulk of the Lube, off the Z axis, and continue printing

Note that your rag may come away black. Some lubricants dissolve Delrin...
Rule is: Keep the threaded rods clean - and dry.
