Left-hand z-axis motor not running

Just finished the assembly, and the self-diagnostic actually managed to pass this, but it seems that only one of the z-axis motors is running / the right-hand side. I tried switching the z-axis cables and still the same, right works, left doesn't. When I attempt to calibrate, the right-hand side of the assembly moves up then it jams.

Any troubleshooting recommendations?

For anyone that finds this post in the future:

1) the Z and X axis wires were swapped, from testing I'd done with the old motor.
2) the trapezoidal nut on the old and new axles were slightly different - the old one had a lot of resistance, it should basically be able to be spun up and down the axis when it's not screwed in.

I have made my successful test print (a whistle). 🙂

True, I'd actually been motivated to finish the assembly to build an anamorphic lens adapter (projector lens anamorphic block to a regular filter thread for a normal camera lens), but it'll have to wait. 😪

Update: got a replacement monitor, but same problem. What's the next step for troubleshooting this?

If it's still under warranty contact prusa via live chat and tell them it's a faulty einsy board and see what they say if it's not under warranty then let me know and we will do more trouble shooting but sounds like it's the drive that's gone

Go back to Prusa Support and work through it with them, one failed new motor is unusual, two implies the problem may be elsewhere.

Cheerio,
