Layer shift at same Z axis height

Newly assembled, machine - have made some good prints like a spiral vase but I have had some layer shifting on most prints with flat edges. I had a couple really bad Benchy's, worked with belt tension some and cleaned and lubed all smooth rods. Checked screws that I could get to for tension and everything feels good.

Photos are of most recent benchy that actually came out quite good other than some shifting in the cabin. Any ideas as to why I would have such visible shifting in the same place on multiple benchys? I would think to be a mechanical issue for sure. -Thank you.

Check your grub screws.  Did you lubricate you bearings?

Cwbullet, thank you for the response. Update: I started to go through everything and found that the screws on my X-Axis pulley were a touch loose. Lined everything up, tightened and I am printing a pretty flawless Benchy right now. I think we are good. I remember in assembly thinking that these screws are TINY and not wanting to over-do them.

You said you lined things up. Do you mean you lined up one grub screw with the flat on the motor shaft?

I just looked in the manual and I think they should have placed a warning about the grub screws.

You need to put one grub screw on the flat and tighten that first. If you don't line the first up with the flat part and tighten it first it will work it self loose during printing.

Yes- I noticed that the screw that should be on the motor shaft was about a turn loose. I loosened both, aligned, tightened the flat screw and then the other retaining screw. The benchy came out as close to flawless as I am looking for. Can't wait to get some more prints going.
