Keywords to describe common print problems

Hi all,

I just finished my i3 mk3 build and after running through the calibration wizard with no issues tried my first print. I tried the Benchy file that came with the SD card and got a low-quality print (see the attached pics). I tried to do some searching to troubleshoot but I found myself a little stumped when it came to describing the problem - I don't know that right terms to describe what I'm seeing. To me the layers in the print look "inconsistent" or "misaligned", but I can't seem to find answers with those terms. I'm sure there are answers out there, I just need to find the right keywords!

So here's the question: Does anyone know a good resource for visual troubleshooting for newbie folks like me that don't know how to properly describe the problem? Alternatively, can we get a string going of keywords linked to good descriptions/photos to start building one up here? It would help me out a lot!

Oh yeah, and if if you know what's up with my print that would be great too! 😀

I suspect the grub screws on your X Axis motor are not tightened. Or maybe Y. Or both.

IOW, you don't know what you don't know. 😉
(No shame in that--been there--many times. It's an old, old story...)

Try some of these:

3D print artifacts

3d printing problems and solutions

That's "MISTER Old Fart" to you!
