Just finished building my mk3s kit...lcd lights up with no power connected???

I just finished building my mk3s kit (have not connected power yet) and when I manually slide the hotbed or the hotend on the rails the lcd flashes blue while they are moving. Is this indicative of a wiring problem or normal? I want to make sure it's not an issue before I connect power for the first time.

Thanks!

This is normal but its not recommended to do it.  When you move a motor it acts as a generator (think dynamo on a bicycle).  You are generating current and dumping it into the circuitry from the motors.  As such it power stuff up in random ways.  The faster you move it the more power.  So if you have to move by hand then move it slowly.

Thanks man!, I see that info is actually in the manual, lol!, I turned to the next page this evening when I finally had a chance to sit back down and work on it and that was literally the first thing it said.

Got it all calibrated and it's currently printing the prusa logo off the sdcard and looking perfect so far so I'm pretty excited...I guess I got everything put together right on the first try.
