Just a quick question

I'm not used to using linear bearings. Just wondering if they should make noise. I am VERY meticulous! The Axis moves with zero pressure really. Just wondering if this is normal before I proceed. Thank you for any help! 😀 Also, Thank you Prusa got my kit yesterday!! 🙂 I appreciate the time you took to package it so neatly. 🙂

Have you lubricated the linear bearings?
If not, now might be a good time

@joantabb

Thank you, sorry it took so long to get back to you. Been busy. I haven't tried that and thought about it. It said it wasn't needed if I'm not mistaken, but a little bit of lube never hurts. 🙂

RE: Just a quick question

Hi, a few days ago I did swap my bearing for some igus on Y axis, it was the occasion for me to make a comparison of the sound, you can see (and listen 😋 ) that with this video. It was made without the belt, so without the motor sound.

@flo-r

Thank you!! That was the sound I noticed! I'm not the only one. I spent almost 3 hours making it as perfect as possible. It was driving me crazy!
