Hello everyone,

I'm reaching my limits. I've got the KIT and I've assembled it (it took ~12h, but I got it working without major hiccups). This was a few weeks ago. Since then, I've done with the help of a friend some calibration work and started printing PLA. Obviously the first prints looked like garbage or they simply failed, until I realized my Z is too high and the PLA wouldn't stick. After some tweaking, I arrived at a Z value of -0.91. This worked rather well with PLA prints and I even managed to sell some. I was happy. Then I ran out of the gray PLA and I decided to switch it up to PETG signal white (all the filaments were acquired from Prusa). I made some prints, I would say decent, but very stringy. I've contacted someone on prusaprinters to help with trouble shooting and I've been doing some test prints of a 3x3 square. 

This was the initial PLA test I did. From this I've been told to lower my nozzle to make sure the middle square is ok.

I've lowered my nozzle to -0.95 and got this:

After this was done, we've corrected the bed level by adding to the front: 25 um and to the back -15

Then, I switched to PETG to do the same test:

The last one are some trays I wanted to print (basically some rounded squares) and you can see that the PETG doesn't even stick.
I really want to start using my printer seriously and for that I need to make sure that when I start a print, it will properly work. Because of this, I've decided that I still got PLA, and it worked well with it. Let's change back to it. (Yellow Prusament)

 

As you can see in the pictures here, it seems that the calibration doesn't work well for PLA anymore. I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do now. Shouldn't there be an automatic bed level calibration? If there is a sensor, why do I have to do this manually? 🙁 
Please help, I'm really excited about the product and printing...but the experience for me at the moment is horrible 🙁

Clean all those finger prints off the bed and you'll be able to do better layer one tests.

ps: As for the yellow PLA - you need to use the 7x7 setting, and probably adjust bed level compensation for the corners.

I cleaned everything with dishwasher soap + water, and had similar results sadly.

What is the 7x7 setting?

In your settings, turn your calibration from 3 x 3 to 7x7 calibration points.

Thanks for the link. I've did the 7x7, 5 checks calibration and I get more or less the same result. See pictures below:

I dont know that dishwasher soap would be the best if that is in fact what you used.

Dish washing detergent, hand dish washing that is, is recommended.  Dishwasher detergents may have additives to help with water spots.

Lost in translation most likely. It's liquid soap for dish washing. My bad.

You should read the handbook - especially the part on bed level compensation. You'll need to do that adjustment to fix the thick-thin issues you are having. 

Unless you are willing to invest some time learning about the printer's features, your not going to be happy with the printer. Best of luck getting it to work.

Also, as mentioned by Tim, adhesion will be better and more repeatable if you clean your bed.
