issues when using supports (kinda a high% of them)

so, I have noticed if I have something with allot of supports, it h as a high % chance of failing.(nozzle must be hitting the print, they end up coming detached from the base, like at the 2 CM mark) outside of slowing it down, does anyone have ideas on what might be doing it?

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

If slowing down fixes the problem, you may simply be laying down filament too quickly for it to settle properly, resulting in bumps that can snag the nozzle on moves. Look into Z-Hop/Z-Lift options to lift the extruder a bit as it moves across the bed. Depending on your slicer, you may be able to direct it to avoid supports when doing moves at the expense of additional print time.

that almost has to be it. next time I do one with supports I will keep an eye on it. it's allways when I feel safe and turn up the speed.....(doctor doctor it hurts when I do this....well don't do that).. I am still tweaking my extruder multiplier abit. small chance too much filament is getting laid down also. but at least the beta is working better then PC now..

thanks for the idea professor honeydew 😀
