Is there an introduction to calibration document somewhere?

Now that I'm finally printing and getting about 2/3 of prints to actually stick to surface, I'm not super impressed by the quality. I believe it's just my lack of understanding of the fine tuning and calibration settings, but other than the Wizard and First Layer Test, I'm not exactly sure what else I need to adjust. I've read a bunch of blogs and posts here, but, to be honest, I don't understand what they are saying.

Is there a very simple video, document, or anything that helps me understand both the terms, the how, and the why on calibration settings for a complete newb? Or is this one of those things were I need to print something, have a dozen people look at it and make conflicting or confusing recommendations, then I change my settings, reprint, and then repeat?

Welcome Jim, to the forum.

First of all you should not start turning on any settings in the slicer program. The predefined printer profiles available for different materials are accurate and work without changes.

These are two things you should do to make your new hobby a fun hobby.
1) Wash the bed with detergent and water, wipe with paper.
2) Adjust the Z level so that the first layer becomes even and fine. The filament string should not be round but slightly smeared (about 0.2 mm thick).

When I was starting to use my MK3 this thread right in this section of the forum was the most help.
