Is Prusa telling me I should enroll in AA?

As clearly I won't be opening any beer bottles with this 😀

First print.   Kit assembly.  All self-tests and calibration passed.

I used glue stick on bed. Filament is silver PLA that came with printer.

I could tell there was an issue immediately as the printer forms the perimeter outline first and that very first bead of plastic was not adhering to the bed, rather it got dragged into a diagonal when the head moved.

I'd say that Prusa is telling you that you need to dial in your z-offset better. Please run a first layer calibration and post a picture of your result.

Calibration is only the first step. Read the manual. You need to correctly adjust the live z offset to get correct layer squish. It’s the single most important thing g to get right as otherwise prints will not stick and when they detach you can get blobs of doom and damage your printer. There are hundreds of threads on the forums here on doing this.

I already tried the first layer calibration several times.   I guess I was confused as to how it's done as I just did it again and I think I'm getting closer.

This is with Z = -1.0

I printed the test pattern.  There was one defect on the first pass in one of the curved area,  after that it seemed to improve and was doing ok until the whole center section lifted with a big blob of plastic on the hot end.

This is first layer calbiration with z=-0.15

The very first horizontal started off too wide.

Perhaps it is still a bit too high. Also, try it with 7x7 bed mesh leveling (from the LCD screen) and see if the line is more consistent. Gluestick should not be needed with PLA. Lets skip it for now until we have the z-offset dialed in. Try cleaning your sheet with IPA to remove the glue and then with dish washing detergent and plenty of hot water.
