I can't start a print

I finished assembling the Pruse i3 MK3S+ printer. I followed the instructions on setting up and calibrating the printer, but now when I try to get the benchy first print to start printing, the extruder keeps sliding along the x-axis, beeps and then tells me to take the filament out, then it asks me to put the filament back in, asks me to verify if the filament is going through the extruder, then asks for the PLA to be removed. It won't print, just cycle through the filament setup instead. Has anyone had this issue? I've tried to find a tutorial or video on how to do this, but they end the video with, "Then you just print like normal." I reviewed the handbook and the manual and can't find anything to solve my scenario.

Check your filament sensor, this is classic behaviour when it’s not assembled correctly.

Oh yeah, another one of those.... Classical rookie problem, no worries. Shut off the filament sensor in the menu. If you can then manually (by chosing the respective command in the menu) load and unload filament, then the filament sensor is the culprit.

Well known issue is that the filament sensor cover is too tight. Swith on the filament sensor again. Go to the sensor status menu where you can see wether the sensor is triggered or not. Loosen the cover a bit, insert a piece of filament by hand, just pushing it into the extruder a bit, and check whether the status signal on the menu changes correctly each time you move the filament in or out.

Regards
Chris

I try to give answers to the best of my ability, but I am not a 3D printing pro by any means, and anything you do you do at your own risk. BTW: I have no food for…
