How would I imporove this benchy?

I just printed my first benchy on my newly assembled MK3S, but it seems to have some artifacts. How would I go about improving my print quality on this?

Here are some of the settings I have currently set:

  • 7x7 Bed leveling

  • First Layer: -1.435

  • PLA Temps: HE-215, Bed-60

  • Firmware: 3.8.1-2869

  • Belt Status: X-285, Y-271

The distortion on the bow is usually due to heat or insufficient cooling. Check your part cooling fan air flow, make sure cooling is on during print (100% with PLA generally) and reduce temps a bit.

Your 1st layer looks good.

You might want to run the extruder linearity correction procedure to improve surface finish.

If you sliced this one yourself, you can experiment with moving the z-seam around.

You might see what happens if you point the bow toward you.  As others have said, looks like a cooling issue.

@bobstro

Didnt slice it my self, it was the one off the SD card, but I'll give it a try, as well as your other suggestions.

@allen-m2

I hadn't thought about orientation. Once I get one to slice, I'll see if that help fix it at all.
