How do I adjust speed of stepper extruder motor?
First off let me state I am getting an inconsistent flow from the nozzle.
I have replaced the nozzle thinking it may have been a clog.
I have already adjusted the two bolts that produce the tension around the filament idlers and made sure they aren't too loose or too tight... I have unloaded and loaded filament multiple times trying to achieve a decent flow drop (?)
I have taken a needle and cleaned the grooves on the idlers.
The idler itself seems to spin fine and I have made sure the filament lined up with the grooves.
After doing all of this I got to thinking that the motor itself seems to be spinning slowly/weakly... Now to my question... Is there a way to adjust the speed of the stepper extruder motor?
Re: How do I adjust speed of stepper extruder motor?
If you have measured the extrusion rate and find it off, you would modify the "E steps". Be sure to do a M221 S100 first as Slic3rPE will set the flow rate to 95% by default. I would be astonished if the stepper was the cause of your problem, though, as the E-steps are dependent on the motor design and are preset by Prusa.
