Help for broken 3MK3!
Hello, we just ordered a new Prusa 3MK3 in April, and then in July one of the wires snapped so it's not working anymore. Are there any repair places in Phoenix (or AZ) that can help? We ordered it from Europe so I'd hate to have to send it back if possible. Thanks.
RE: Help for broken 3MK3!
What wire are you talking about? heater cartridge, temp sensor or something completely different?

Post a pic (drag it into the edit box) if you're not sure what the parts are called.

If you can't take a picture, can you download one off the Prusa site and draw an arrow pointing to the wire that broke?
RE: Help for broken 3MK3!
It's kind of difficult from the photos to see exactly what is broken, but the area is that of the hotend with the heater (larger) and thermistor (smaller) both which are vulnerable to damage.
Lately, it seems that my last couple of orders from Prusa were shipped promptly, arriving in the States in only a few days.
The heater and thermistor should be available from Prusa (Czech Republic), E3D, the manufacturer (UK) and possibly via Amazon. I know that the hotend complete is or once was available via Amazon.
Be sure to get the items intended for the MK3S and not the older models!
RE: Help for broken 3MK3!
It is hard to tell from the photos. Can you describe which wire is broken by where the color of the wire insulation and where it ends? The most common broken wires I have found are:
- Blower fan
- Thermistor
- Heater
I keep these extra parts on hand at all times. It allows me to quickly swap to get back to printing.
- A fully assembled hotend from e3D
- Heater cartridge
- Thermistor for e3D V6 or Knock Off
- Blower fans
- Hotend fans
I also order them from Prusa and you can order them from Printed Solid.
