Heat bed to Einsy wiring

MK3S+ kit build - I want to be sure I get the wiring of the heat bed to the Einsy correct.  The instructions and pictures are not correct in the build manual.

The 6 connectors on the Einsy I want to label  (to pose my question) 1-6.   1-4 are wired to the PSU.  5 & 6 (the far right connectors of the 6) are wired to the heat bed.  On the heat bed the connections are marked VCC and GND.   On the Einsy, which is VCC, 5 or 6?

Notice in the picture attached from the manual of the two ends of the connections the colors are not the same.

"Please note that not following these steps correctly could possibly void the warranty on the printer if any damage occurs. Please take your time and double check the correct connections and tighten the screws."

Please take your time and fix the photos in your manual.  Yes, I'm tired and cranky. 🙂

RE: Heat bed to Einsy wiring

Have you read the user comments which are available under each of the steps you are linking to? I don´t understand your problem, really, but I understand that one can get confused sometimes.

On the heatbed, there´s VCC and GND, as shown in the manual. My understanding is that VCC (Voltage Common Collector) is the (+) or positive pin, GND is the ground or (-) pin. The VCC pin on the Einsy is clearly marked in the linked picture (3rd pic in Step 26); there is a red arrow with a (+) sign pointing to pin no. 5 from the left. (The orange arrows top-down mark the headbed cables per the arrow colour coding provided in that step). Whatever the cable colours in your set are, it should be easy to connect the identical colour to both (+) connectors on the bed and the Einsy.

Regards

Chris

Thanks.  My problem is, as I showed in the attached photo (taken from the kit build manual) is the mixed message about cable color.  The colors at the two ends are not consistent.  Since they are attempting to communicate correct wiring by wire color, it seems like it should not be a guessing game.  Notice you didn't communicate the correct wiring by wire color.  You map VCC to +.  That would be a nice thing to state in the manual.

Also, the heat bed is covered up at this point.  I left the comment to take a picture before closing it up.  A multi-meter could sort it out, but you shouldn't have to.

I appreciate the help.  Lots of people are color blind.

RE:

I understand that the cables shown attached to the bed are of different colour than those attached to the Einsy. I believe this has been mentioned before in the respective comments. Although there is a reference in the manual that one of two different sets of cable colours may be supplied, this should not be mixed up in the instruction manual pics. Nevertheless, as both the VCC contact on the bed and the (+) connector on the Einsy are clearly marked in the manual, confusion should be limited.

They do such a great job communicating polarity at the PSU.
