First time turning on - After Language Selection nothing happens
I just finished assembling my printer (MK3S), I turn it on for the first time.
I get the language selection and the knob works correctly going between languages. I select English.
Then the fans turn on for about 3 seconds and stop again.
The menu resets back to language selection. Same thing repeats if I select English.
I get no error messages and no other feed back.
Where to go from here?

Ok - I think my mistake is that I thought the 'X' button is 'select' button which it isn't!!
I am supposed to press the knob to select, not the X-button (which is reset) -- 🙂
I am mildly embarrassed.

There are two buttons on the front panel, the SELECT button (press the twirlly thing); and the RESET button: you know it well, that one with the big X on it.
ps: Page 8 in the User Manual --- seriously, I suggest you read it before getting too far ahead of yourself. You can thank me later.
