First Logo Print - OK or not OK?

Hi there,

I successfully assembled the kit and printed the test logo (Thanks to the Prusa Team, for an awesome LEGO-like build experience!!)

I would like to check, whether the printed logo should look like this or what I could possibly set differently in order to improve it?
I noticed some "dents" at the corners of all letters, I photographed the "S" and "A" as examples.

Thanks for your opinions! (It is hard for a newbie to judge whether the outcome is as good as it can be expected or it some setting maybe wrong...)

Michael.

Hi Michael. To me. That looks slightly over extruded.

Try changing the flow rate in settings. To a lower value. Say 90%

Hi Joan,

thanks for the quick answer! I checked this in "Settings", but there is no option to change a flow rate, I did browse through all the available options. I have firmware version 3.2.1-576. I tried to have a slightly higher setting for the Z compensation to make the printed lines slightly "thicker", but still at the end of the letter-fills, this slight nozzle imprint remains.

I just wonder, if all of the other owners have the same appearance or if it looks different on their printers.

Thank you!

Michael.

Hi Michael,

this test logo, was it the ready sliced one off the SD card, if so, you had no control over the slicing, however if you go in to the LCD 'Settings' Menu where you should see the Flow option...

if you are slicing the STL Yourself, then it would be the 'Extrusion Multiplier' in the Filament settings drop down menu of Slic3r

Hi Joan,

thanks for the reply, yes, it was the ready-made version on the SD card. I do not have any Flow option in any settings page on the printer. So I guess I have to experiment a little bit around, when I use my own models in Slic3r.

Thanks!

Michael.
