First layer looks great, second layer gets shredded
Haven't used the printer in a while and trying to recalibrate... looks like the first layer is dialed in now but for some reason when printing the Prusa test pattern, the second layer is pretty torn up. Any ideas what kind of adjustment this requires? Belts seem ok and the perimeter around the outside edge seems fine.
RE: First layer looks great, second layer gets shredded
This is from the nozzle hitting your print. You could be too low or have poor adhesion.

Turns out I was printing with PETG when I thought I was printing with PLA... (facepalm)
Everything works fine now.

😀
Shit happens. Had a similar issue lately. Thought it is PETG but it was ASA.

That will do it. Poor adhesion and the nozzle hits the print.

Not relevant now but you get the same effect with a partially blocked nozzle.

To prevent this, I have started putting a big label on each roll that clearly makes what each is.

Heh, this did have a label but it was small and on the side that I didn't look at 😑
Good to know about the nozzle clog scenario... Thanks all!

I had the exact same problem with a print almost identical to this one. Sure enough, I was printing PETG with PLA temps. I don't even remember putting a PETG spool in my printer.
