First layer cal printing problem

After completing the xyz calibration, I ran the first layer cal. It does not match the picture in the manual. I am not sure how to make changes to adjust it. Please see attached picture.

Thanks,

Push the selector knob and navigate your way to Live Z Adjust. Counter clockwise will lower the nozzle and clockwise will raise it. At this point it looks like you need to lower it. Do it in increments. You may have to do it a few times to get it correct.

I have incremented the Z Adjust setting from 0.005 to 0.302 and the print has not improved. I am not sure if I should keep going or look elsewhere for the problem. Here is the last print at 0.302.

The "Life adjust" method of tuning Live-Z is much easier to use and understand than the on-board method. I recommend reading the first few posts in that thread and downloading the provided gcode files.

Re: First layer cal printing problem

please note that it is not uncommon to have a Live Z closer to -800 or -900. -302 is nothing yet. Keep going. The "Life adjust - my way" mentioned above is generally better.
