First layer areas with different heights

Hi @all,

if have done the z-calibration and first layer calibration.

Everything was fine. So i wanted test the first layer with a bigger print.

Then i was recognized that problem:

i have different heights in areas of my printbed (see pictures). The z-adjust is allways the same by -1,242 mm.

In the middle is it fine, but at the corners it looks like the printbed is to high so the material quilt over and look not very good.

Do you have an idea what is the problem about and how i can get the same layerheight on the full printbed?

Thank you for your answers.

greetings christian 🖐️

You should try the nyloc bed mod, but you'll need to ideally use a pi running octoprint to see the results.

What do you have the levelling setting to - 3 x 3 or 7 x 7.  Set it to 7 x 7 if not already done.

Before you try the nylon mod, you should know that you can add offsets to the different sides of the build plate using the LCD menu. It’s under mesh bed leveling settings somewhere (sorry not near my printer now).

@mdaneman

thank you too for your answer.

I will check this option in the settings. With the 7x7 leveling it is much bedder, so i can print the first layer in a good quality.

But maybe i can tune this a little bit more

Thanks! 😎
