First file print using SD files and Prusa splicer file

"Fil. runouts"= 12 total failures.

i3 MK3S+

just assembled, all checks OK, adjusted Z for test square, all good.

Selected first SD file, selected PLA filament from box.

Z calibrates , then goes to left side and beeps with "please press knob to unload element".  after unloading and reloading and selecting OK, the "please press knob to unload filament".  now on 13 total failures.

tried different files, same issue. no error is shown until you check "failed status".

do you know what is not functioning correctly?

more info: Fil. Sensor = 0

according to the knowledge base, 0 - Filament unloaded

it appears my filament sensor is not detecting filament. However, I see extruded filament on the Steel Sheet as expected.

do I have a non functioning filament sensor?

more info: I was able to turn off Filament sensor and it appears to be printing! Do I still have a sensor issue?

I don't have a mk3S+

the Mk3S had issues with the filament sensor, that were addressed in a number of ways,
the simplest was a thin washer that could be printed and installed under the filament sensor,
I believe it's on thingiverse

As a workaround, temporarily disable the filament sensor (LCD menu) which will allow you to print but you'll need to fix it if you want to print safely through the end of a filament spool.

Cheerio,
