Filament stuck to the metal sheet
Hello,
Last night I ran the calibration wizard, and was adjusting the values of the height of the extruder during the test print, and the extruder was so low, that the result was that of the illustration on page 25 of the manual, more of a flat print, rather than squished slightly print.
I am now faced with the issue of not being able to get the filament (this is the filament included in the kit) off of the bed. I have tried scraping, washing with soap and water, and also tried isopropyl alcohol. Nothing has resolved the issue and there are several thin lines of filament that I have been unable to remove.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hello GiantL,
if that happens to me, i use a ceramic glass cooktop scraper.
You still have to be careful, but it works.

Thanks,
I have a metal sheet on the heat bed, not the tempered glass. Is that going to matter? These seem to be designed to not scratch glass, but says nothing about metal.
Re: Filament stuck to the metal sheet
Hi GiantL,
you say metal sheet... do you mean pei coated spring steel sheet?
you could try dripping some IPA, on the cold bed, and using the edge of an old credit card, or hotel door card, to try scraping the residue off,
if these plastic marks are really thin, try printing over them, a thicker print will often pull extremely thin layers off,
or you could try electronics, freezer spray, or Air duster spray, with the can upside down

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK
Re: Filament stuck to the metal sheet
I prefer a plastic razor blade, no damage to the bed and it gets under anything
Anything can be made better

Re: Filament stuck to the metal sheet
I had a really thin layer of PLA stuck to my bed. Acetone took it right off.
Proud owner of a Mk3 that is producing very nice prints. There is room for improvement as I learn more about it, but so far I am very happy.
