Trying to load PLA, just keeps knocking. The PLA gets past the two gears and then cant get any further.
Took it apart cant see anything, please see picture.

Any help would be great as just about give up.

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Filament Jam

Sounds like the extruder and its PTFE Tube is not aligned correct.
Pls. check that it is really mounted in the correct way according to the assembly manual.

Re: Filament Jam

I have now managed to get the tip end out, totally blocked.
What runs through the PTFE tube ? is it a steel tube? could i cut it and try to open it up?

Please see pics again

Re: Filament Jam

Just dissassemble it completely and take the PTFE out of the heatsink. Only works in one direction as far as I can tell.

Then you can heat up the ptfe with a heatgun for example and push the filament inside the tube out with something about the diameter of the inner ptfe tube.

Re: Filament Jam

This is why I always have my hand on the filament before I attempt an "unload filament". I'll start pulling on the filament and then push the button.

Re: Filament Jam

Best ask support about the parts, on eChat, see how they are feeling today...

the PTFE is restrained by a black plastic clip at the top, it's usually easier to take the heat break out of the other side of the heat sink and push the PTFE into the heatsink, so it comes out the bottom, rather than try and press the black ring in, while pulling the PTFE out
