Filament hard to load then fails print during filament change
Loading the filament is difficult. Initial load is spotty, but I usually force it through. Then I tried a filament change mid-print. I feel the gears grab the filament then it hits a stop but the gears keep going. Because the gears have grabbed it I can't pull it back. Then every menu option only grinds the gears forward even more. The only way out of the loop is to say OKAY good printer, go print air. UGH.
RE: Filament hard to load then fails print during filament change
The tube at the top of the hot-end needs a bigger mouth. Now the angle I cut the filament tip at makes all the difference. Am I the only one with this issue? Should I get in there and wobble out the tube? [insert joke]
RE: Filament hard to load then fails print during filament change
Hi! since few days ago I have a similar problem. The gears don't pull the filament good, and for this reason I have extruder problems, and always the extrusor ends printing in the air.... I unmount the e-axis, I've cleaned the gears, I've tried some diferent screw strengh... and I don't know what I need to do, it's maddening....
Any idea please?

Of course... I cleaned the nozzle ( I've changed it ) I clean the tube.... all is in perfect conditions.... ( aparently ), I tried close to ten diferent materials and brands.... Always the same result. The gear don't pull the filament correctly.
RE: Filament hard to load then fails print during filament change
My fix has been to make sure and cut the tip of the filament with its point to the left. |/ This guides the tip into the tube better. I'm right handed so it's an unnatural cut, but it's working. I'm afraid adding a MMU2S or Palette system will kill my groove though.
