Extruder Leaking
I am having a problem with my newly assembled i3 MK3. The Extruder seems to always be dripping during the warm up and bed level test. I grab as much as a can with a tweezers, but there are so much clumping that the plastic stuck to the side of the extruder will bump into other sections of print and mess it up. I can't even perform a proper Z configuration because of this problem. What am I doing wrong?

is your temp too high for the filament being run?
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

I don't believe so. I have it set at the default 215 for PLA.

What slicer do you use?
I have my startup gcode set to only heat the head up to 160C, when it starts the leveling step the temp setpoint moves up to 210C. This way the leveling is done while the head is ramping from 160 to 210 to minimize the dripping. If you search the forum the gcode has been posted previously by others. If not I can post my startup gcode later today.

Similar issue, but on long prints. For me on long prints it appears to be a slow leak out the top of the extruder, which eventually drips onto the print and either ruins it, causes a “bump” which shifts the print or simply causes a failure. Did a resolution ever happen??
Is your nozzle seated correctly?
