Extruder heater socket on Rambo board backwards! how to remove?

My second MK3S is 99% assembled and there is one issue that didn't exist on the other.  The extruder heater socket is on backwards which doesn't allow the connector to 'catch' the socket as well as if it were on then the block terminals would block the extruder fan socket.  Below is a picture from: https://www.help.prusa3d.com/en/article/einsy-rambo-electronics-wiring-mk3-mk3s_2107 for reference.

I spoke with support and they said you can pull the plastic part off and reseat it in the right orientation with pliers to remove it.  I am very handy with electronics and all sorts of items but cannot get this one off - I am fearful if I try any harder it will result in fully breaking one or more parts of the board.  Has anyone done this and had any tips?  I have tried various routes of pulling up with pliers and/or trying to lever it up from below but it is very resistant to movement - unlike other sockets on this board or others.

Any ideas as I have a 99% assembled printer waiting to join my other in printing PPE.  Thank you!
