E Axis Assembly Step 30 - PTFE Tubing Confusion
Hi,
I am in the middle of assembling my first ever Prusa 3D Printer.
At step 30 in the E Axis Assembly (Filament Check), it says to "push the filament from the top, through the Bondtech into the PTFE tube."
Have I missed something, I don't remember a step telling me to insert some PTFE tubing into the Extruder holder?
Thanks

Hi,
the PTFE tube should be already inside the hotend, and in the path of the filament it comes after the bondtech gears

It is unlikely that the ptfe tube fall off from the extruder.
Have you checked if your extruder has the tube in?
Is it there? You're good to go.

The first place I saw PTFE mentioned was in step 30 which is after the Extruder is virtually completed, so to check the Hot End would mean taking everything apart again 🙁

@bill-h
So how should i know? 😅
You should be able to see the tube from the idler door, right below the gears
