Does new spring steel sheet have removable plastic coating?
The two alignment holes in the smooth spring steel sheet that shipped with my MK3S kit are covered with clear plastic of some sort. Does that mean that there is a removable plastic coating on the spring steel sheet or am I supposed to punch through the coating over to holes and use it as it shipped? If there is a removable coating, it is very tightly bonded to the steel sheet.

these holes are for the panels to be hung up, when they are being powder coated,
Smooth PEI is laid across the holes because they are not needed, the location cutout is on the other edge

Just to re-iterate that 'clear plastic' is the PEI surface. If you peel it off you are destroying your print surface.
