Cause of “wrinkles” in large print?

Noob. Got my Mk 3 in April. Completed a number of smaller prints with PLA, ABS, TPU and PC with good results.

This is my first “large” print and I’m wondering what is causing the wrinkles in the first layer? Using Prusa Silver PLA, S3D print quality set to Fast, temps at 215/60.

The part is nothing special, just a crap box to hang under a cutting board on my bbq side table. So, I’m just going to let the print continue. I’d just like to know what’s causing the wrinkles so I can avoid in future prints.

Thanks

Check you live-Z adjust. You printing your first layer too close to the heatbed.

Your nozzle is too close to the bed, also possibly some over extrusion. The wrinkles appear because the filament has nowhere to go so it pushes out of the side of the nozzle. At the least redo your first layer calibration, and use something like https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1776031 to perfect it.

It is difficult to get such a large flat print wrinkle free but you can certainly get much close than you have currently. Good luck!
