Can you help? Can't get first layer to stick to bed
See results in the image of my first later calibration results. Students felt that the -0.2 result was the best.
We then tried to print many objects with no success. We have followed all the suggestions in the troubleshooting as to preparing the bed and keeping it clean as well as focusing on the z level.
Nothing will stick, nor stay on the plate. We have calibrated multiple times and washed and cleaned and slightly scrubbed the surface.
See the image of the skirt and brims, they are not forming correctly.
Any information regarding our printer MK3s and its issues with sticking to the bed would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kristen,
Unfortunately your pictures didn't materialise on the forum.
the way I do it, is to open a file manager window over the text box, then Drag and drop the pictures from File manager into the forum text input box. (towards the bottom of the box. )
when the file is in the right place the text input box will change colour (to Blue, on My Laptop)
as shown above.
then a window like below should open, select Link to: Media File then click 'Insert into Post'
you should end up with your pictures in the post...
I normally only add three pictures per post
If you need to add STL's or Gcode, or .3MF files then need to be zipped...then use the attach file option at the bottom of the text insertion window
If I am having problems with adhesion, I do the following.
1, Wash the build plate, Rinse and repeat, then dry well with paper towels. Give the build surface a really good wash to remove all grease and contamination. ). For PLA, you should not need any magic potions on the build plate!
2 ensure that 7x7 mesh bed levelling is enabled (available from the LCD Menu) this tests 49 points on the build plate, instead
3, Use the Life adjust 'Z' My Way process in preference to the Prusa First layer calibration tool.
Adjust live Z until the test patch can be removed as a complete smooth sheet.
if the strands of filament are still separate then live Z is too small a negative number, if the surface of the test patch is rough or rippled but the stransd are generally welded together, youlive Z is too big a negative number
If the test patch surface is smooth, and the strands are welded together, you are pretty much perfect...
now look at the underside of the test patch, if you can see evidence of the separate strands, and the strand lines are straight, your live Z number could be adjusted a tiny bit bigger,
If the lines are welded together but they are wiggly, not straight, then your live Z value is a little too large.

Your Live-Z is WAY too high. Come down (make Live-Z value more negative) in large-ish increments (0.1mm) until the lines start to stick. Keep lowering in smaller increments until you can poke a line without it becoming dislodged.

Hi Kirsten,
From the pictures, your build plate looks messy. and your prusa first layer calibration patches, look to have too little squish.
Live Z is too small a negative number
give the 'Life adjust Z my way' process/ patches a try...
they take longer to complete and so give you longer to make the changes to the adjustment,
