Calibration problems (but nothing obvious)

Just got my MK2S -> MK3 upgrade (had to print all parts, really strange, why did I wait for 4 months then ???) and finished assembly.

Everything seemed fine at first but then, I tried to update my firmware and things started to go south : Not a single calibration can run to the end, the issue is that homing is not working, I mean at all !

X Axis if forced to the left will find first calibration points but when trying to "improve calibration points", X shifted 2 cm to the right and then NEVER hit the point again. Tried everything, factory reset, firmware change, anything...and still, it fails miserably because there is a shift when "homing" axis.

Is there anything to do to fix this bug ?

Right now, my printer is useless, can't do anything...

Well, something even more curious now : the M500 command returns...nothing. Nothing seems to be stored in EPROM.

Not sure how to contact chat support, any link ?

Both should return what is stored.

None of these is returning anything in my case.

Support is sending me a new EINSY, seems to be defective. Not sure how long this will take, after 4 months waiting for my upgrade, it is not frustrating at all but at least, support is doing its job and doesn't try to hide behind anything, I have to tell support is pretty good and reactive, once you know how to reach them.

Nobody can help actually, my board seems KO. Just unlucky.

Re: Calibration problems (but nothing obvious)

Something I should have explained is that I used IGUS bearings for plate and X-axis. Waiting for EINSY replacement I told to myself "and what if the x-carriage I found on thingiverse wasn't perfect ?", I mean what if the space between bearings centers (the top one and the 2 bottom ones) weren't exactly the space between rods ? If not, it should cause more force to the x-carriage to move, thus potentially "blocking it" and even make the printer think it reaches the edge of the plate....

So I decided to remove IGUS bearings and replace them with original ones...and guess what ? This is exactly what I was afraid of : model I used didn't took this into account so it was causing problems. For the plate ones, it was even worse but I didn't use any special model for them so it was almost obivous it would cause problems.

IGUS bearings I use are a tiny bit taller than original ones, original ones are 14mm diameter and 25 mm long (I think), IGUS ones I use are 15 mm diameter and 26 mm long, so 1 mm more for both diameter and size...it is enough to cause issues.

I ordered exact same size IGUS models and will let you know if it makes a difference. For the moment, printer seems to print ok but I still don't understand why M500 and M501 aren't returning any value...
