Calibration error on lcd

Does anyone know what this is everything OK on calibration up until after I have placed the steel plate on pinder did 9 point check. I think this is the point that I have to load filament. I have no idea what is going on.

RE: Calibration error on lcd

I am guessing you have a MK3 and the filament sensor was enabled.

You need to perform a FACTORY RESET with DATA CLEAR option.  If you skip the data clear, you won't resolve the problem.  Unfortunately you'll be back at factory power-on and will need to run through the entire calibration wizard, then reapply any of the PID and linearity corrections, bed offsets, etc that you had adjusted.

RE: Calibration error on lcd

IR sensor (MK3S) or a Laser sensor (MK3)?

There are several threads on this; not sure any one solution fits all problems encountered.  I own a MK3 and just turned the sensor off; just too many headaches.

Many of the IR threads indicate the flag (the arm that moves to interupt the IR path) is mechanically imprecise. Sometimes too close and it causes the sensor to "flicker", sometimes too far and it never trips, and sometimes way too close and the sensor is always on.  Buried in the LCD menu, under status, you can monitor the filament status and see what happens as you move filament in and out of the path. Make sure it is working correctly. Should be a solid 1 or 0.

You can also disable AUTOLOAD ... you get to keep the filament detection but not have the autoload hassle.   Also, check the 3.7.2 RC firmware release notes. Maybe they have some changes for the sensors.
