Calibrate Z Fails

While I can perform the extra long Calibrate XYZ, whenever I try to perform a Calibrate Z from the menu, it always fails when it brings the extruder down from the top off the Z axis after bumping to the top. What could the problem be?

Thanks for any help.

RE: Calibrate Z Fails

Was this a newly assembled kit?

Have you read this document, might help.  Sound like it is reading the wrong length of the axis

@clarmrrsn

Yes I freshly assembled this MK3S+ kit. And yes, I've checked the document. Nozzle assembly is fine and the heater block is not protruding, so I guess I'm definitely in the "Assembly is correct but calibration keeps failing" category...

RE: Calibrate Z Fails

There are some helpful hints in these threads, worth trying.

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/z-calibration-keeps-failing/

Check your cabling as well, another thread reported an issue with the Pinda Probe cable.

If that doesn't work go onto the live tech support with Prusa, through the EShop
