Bumps print

I'm new and need some advice as to what is causing these bumps (see attached). This is a generic 1.75mm PLA filament with a recommend temp of 90 -210 C. Is this a issue with temperature, flow rate, print speed or something else? My starting point was .4 line width, 220 C, 40 mm/s. Bracketing each of these settings individually doesn't eliminate the problem. Other PLA filaments with higher recommended temps seem to print fine at the high end of their recommended settings (my house is on the chilly side at 12 - 14 degrees C ambient). On the occasion of each bump, the print pauses, seems to squirt out the extra filament, then resumes printing. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

That is one I haven't seen before. I'd suggest slicing the model, then spend some time in preview mode to see if you can isolate whatever's happening at those points. Do you have a link to the STL you can post? It almost looks like something is supposed to print at the drop locations.

Did you observe the print? Did it pause at those locations long enough to cause melting?

Re: Bumps print

Think is similar to a few filament sensor reports of the printer stopping mid-print for "Heating..." ... especially on MK3. And filament with moisture or contamination may explain why it is burping at those points.

Try turning off the FILAMENT SENSOR, and report back what happens.

You guys are really quick with replies. I'm impressed
bobstro; Yes it did pause at those points.
tim.m30; I'll try turning off filament sensor and see what happens.

It is a MK3. I just finished assembling a MK3S kit with the newer 3.6.0 firmware. Just a few prints so far and this issues has yet to appear.

I'll let you know what works. Thanks for the help.
