Build kit as is or into IKEA Lack directly?

Since my printer should be arriving next week I now think of whats best assembly wise.
Should I assemble the printer as the Kit, or should i put it in the Lack enclosure immediately (i.e assemble with the other parts like the PCU brace)?
Should I install the raspberry Pi and use that from the start (I have printed the special case so I can put it in later)?

Hi,

If you're an experienced 3d printer user at least know how to solve almost everything by yourself, you could get them into the enclosure directly. It wasn't much of a work needed only the PSU needs to be moved.

For the raspi, it is like I stated above and entirely up to you. But I read that raspi/octoprint can mess up your printer's normal operation.

I've never fitted octoprint to my mk2 since I owned them up until I upgraded to mk3 to this date. But I had no problems (without octoprint) since I don't see the needs to fit octoprint in my house.

But if you wanting to assemble them in one go without 1 week of putting down the tools and other thing, go ahead. I also understand that drive =D

To me, I would print most of spare parts with mk2/3 since they are dead accurate. To move into lack case you need to print a triangular brace to replace the psu. You could print from other custom machine but accuracy may somewhat off and thus affecting the frame itself. Unless you own a mk2 or very accurate printer then you can print the parts first then move it to lack case directly during the assembly process.
