broken filament stuck in the tube
Hey folks.
i finished assembling my first prusa 3d printer today. ate the last gummi bears as instructed, was happy like a little kid on x-mas... followed the instructions, did the calibration stuff, let it print the first layer a couple of times until i was satisfied and it looked like it should be ok.
after that whoop whoop first print. decided to test the mini frog. everything looked cool and i left the room after approx 10 -15 min.
when i came back, the printer was still moving, but no filament was coming out. extruder was "clicking" like described in other posts.
I tried to follow the instructions concerning jammed nozzles. heated the nozzle to 260 degrees, waited and all that. repeated it. used the needle
but there is still filament stuck in the PTFE tube and i somehow cant push it down to the nozzle.
2 questions concerning this:
1) How do i get it out?
2) how do i prevent it from happening again?

so i took it apart. but i have still no idea how to get it out. it sheared off inside the tube (just 1mm, but that makes it already unreachable) and it is somehow stuck so i cant push it through when its heated...
i would appreciate any tip, solution, guess or even smart a*s comment 😀

Which side are you trying to push from?
The needle goes in from the nozzle side.

Since you took your extruder apart, remove the PTFE tube (hold down the retaining ring and pull on the PTFE) and see if you can pull the filament out with pliers. If the filament is still stuck in there, heat-up the nozzle to around 80C and see if you can putll it out then. If you can't remove the PTFE tube, in the worst case you may need to destroy it to get it out and insert a new one.

If you are still stuck you can considering getting a 0.15mm metal rod, removing your nozzle, and heating up the extruder to 230C or so, and sticking the rod into the filament path to push out any stuck filament.
Once you get everything cleaned out, you may want to consider uncrewing the heatbreak from the heatsink adding some thermal compound to the threads and screwing it back in. I had a similar issue to your when i first go my MK3S and, since adding thermal grease, have not had it since. Just be careful re-assembling the hot end and follow E3D instructions on how to screw in the nozzle and the heatbreak.

i took it apart, as you can see, got the Tube out and used the PLA that was still solid and sticking out of the tube to push it back through.
but after putting everything back together my XYZ leveling fails... took it apart again already and back together, but still no luck.
Error MSG: XYZ Calibration failed, conult manual.
checked the PINDA probe with a metal object, watched it home in on the first reference point, it located nr2 and 3. during nr4 it seemed to get more feedback, the LED was flashing on and off faster compared to the other points. but it stopped dead center over ref.point4 when it said "XYZ Failed".
i am a bit at a loss here.
all cables are still attatched. even supported the fans and the motor during the disassembly to avoid stretching cables. None are pinched, Hotend is in a proper position. PINDA is still slightly higher than the nozzle and it gets feedback from the metal underneath.
no idea whats wrong now. :/ ideas?

Soince you took the hot end out, it is probably a PINDA probe the nozzle may be at a higher or lower position than it used to be at. Try re-adjusting the PINDA probe and re-set the alignment then, Also make sure that you re-set the Z for first layer as it is probably not the same now.
