Brim not connected to part.

When I use PrusaSlicer, the brim isn't connected to the part, which defeats the purpose of using it to counter bed adhesion / warping issues.

The brown in the preview is the brim, the orange is the first layer of the part (only the first layer shown). I have turned down the settings for the skirt and brim (as shown below) but it doesn't seem to have an effect. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Adam

What version of Prusa slicer are you using ?  If you are using 2.2.0 then you are seeing the effect of one of the changes they made.  Check for what your elephants foot compensation is set to. When elephants foot compensation is turned on then that shrinks the first layer to counter act the squish from setting the life z making the layer a little larger.
On previous versions the brim was moved in by the same amount, now it isn’t. The reasoning behind it is that it would cancel out. However they set the default elephants foot compensation to be 0.2mm. For many people this is too much. So the brim no longer connects to the first layer.

Many have complained and raised issues on Github but as that’s the design intent it is not viewed as a bug. Just reduce your elephants foot value until the brim connects to the part.
