Brand new Mk3s Filament Sensor Stopped Working after a few days?

Hi all,

I couldnt find a similar post regarding a new/Mk3s sensor so forgive me if this has already been asked about...

I paid close attention to taking care with the sensor chip when installing, and initially the sensor was working fine (autoload filament was, at least). Within a few prints/days the autoload feature stopped working (something I was living without before, anyway) so I began manually loading via Settings -> Move Axis.

Last night I decided to do the "short piece of filament test" to see if it would detect the run out and it didn't.

Can anyone direct me to a troubleshooting guide for the new MK3s sensors specifically? I would appreciate any help I can get!

(I also queried the facebook group about this and had several [~3-5] people say their sensors NEVER worked)

Is your filament sensor activated?
See menu "Settings / Filament sensor / On" and "Settings / F.autoload / On"?

Bear MK3 with Bondtech extruder

SOLVED! Thanks to the guide @bruce.p4 posted. I took everything out to ensure the mechanism was working properly, but as soon as I put the extruder motor back in place the sensor arm kept getting stuck in the "open" position (triggering the sensor = "1"). It took some tweaking but I finally figured out that by loosening the sensor chip (from the top panel) a bit actually fixed the problem! Now the sensor arm is moving freely and the sensor is working great again!
