Bed Leveling error - XYZ Calibration

Bed Leveling error - XYZ Calibration

I am new to Prusa and have had the printer for a week now and have been unable to print - I continue to receive the error "bed leveling failed. Sensor did not trigger, etc". I did not build this but purchased the Out of Box version to avoid issues with the build but find myself here.  I had a long Chat last Friday with Steve Sindel in support and continue to receive this error.  I left the chat with Support (Steve) indicating he would consult and get back to me.  I have followed up with Support and now he is  focused on my frustrated thread of "How Do I Return this Printer"... The consulting does not appear to be happening and he continues to ask me where to send the label - I am unwilling to pay for shipping which is what Support says I will need to do if/when this goes back.  

So I am reaching out to anyone out there that has had this same error and how they corrected it.  I have consulted the manual and done all of the tweaks suggested.  Support had me do all of the tweaks over again from taking off the cover and jiggling wires and still I receive the same error.  I am so very frustrated and looking for some guidance from anyone who can help.

Out of the Box

What is “Out of Box”?  Is that a clone maker?  

Are you dealing with them or Prusa Chat?

By out of the box - I mean that I did not build this printer but paid to have Prusa build the Printer. 

And I was chatting with Prusa Chat.

Ok, the capitals made me think it was a company.  Did they have you check the Pinda height?  I would think it moved in transit or the cable was damaged.  I am sure there more possibilities.

Yes, I have adjusted the pinda and checked to see that it was sensing by using a spatula to see the value change and that the light goes off.  I even opened up the black box and jiggled the cables as suggested by Support and ensured it was connected correctly.

Z calibration

If the light goes off and on with the spatula, Have you though about adjusting it down just a tad?  The retry doing the Z calibration.

I have adjusted the pinda moving it closer to the level of the extruder as well as resting at the same level as the extruder as suggested by Prusa support and still the bed leveling.. sensor not triggered error continues.

You might find the preflight check part of the MK3S+ assembly manual useful as it has you adjust the x-axis to be roughly parallel to the bed without the steel sheet and then has you setup the initial pinda probe height above the bed prior to powering on the printer; see https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/9-preflight-check_176167

It uses a small thin cable tie flat between the centre of the bed and the pinda probe tip to set the correct probe height when the nozzle's tip is just touching the bed.  The probe tip should be about 1 to 2mm above the bed when the hotend nozzle is touching the bed.  

Note - the steel sheet needs to be removed for the XYZ calibration step later so the pinda probe can see the nine xy calibration points built into the hotbed for x and y axis calibration checking
