Assembly question: Filament sensor cover

Hello, I have recently completed assembling my new Prusa i3 MK3S. The only issue I encountered is in regards to attaching the filament sensor cover to the extruder. I contacted customer support and did not receive a reply??? In the assembly instructions it shows the sensor with a black component extruding from the pcb board. The cover will not fit over the board because of this component. The component has a profile shaped similar to a "u". The instructions do not indicate wether to remove this object. The cover will not fit over it, and I am unsure as to what to do?? Can someone please direct me? Thank you..

Re: Assembly question: Filament sensor cover

Don't remove the black U shaped component (if it's what I think it is) as it is the Infra Red sensor! That side of the sensor should be facing downwards into the body of the extruder as shown in Step 21 of the instructions ( https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/5.+E-axis+assembly/1055?lang=en#s18566 ). It sounds like you've put it in the wrong way up. You'll need to unplug the connector and flip over the little PCB.
